Resilience

We consider Organizational Resilience as the ability of organizations to anticipate, prepare for, respond and adapt to incremental change and sudden disruptions in order to survive and prosper.

Our view for Organizations Resilience has two core drivers: Defensive (Protect Results) and Progressive (Obtain Results); and has two approaches: Consistency (Maintain Goals and Processes) and Flexibility (Create New Actions).

We identify four ways of Organizational Resilience:

  • Preventive Control (Defensive Consistency)

  • Mindful Actions (Defensive Flexibility)

  • Performance Optimization (Progressive Consistency)

  • Adaptive Innovation (Progressive Flexibility)

In Organizational Resilience the leaders need to have a balance between the different approaches in order to adapt them to their mission and industry.
